The construction of pipeline is different from other ordinary pipe spool installation, which construction process is complex, including Route Selection→ Regulatory Process→ Design→ Pipe Fabrication→ Site Preparation→ Pipe Stringing→ Trenching→ Bending→ Welding and Weld Inspection→ Field Coating→ Lowering and Backfilling→ Pressure Testing→ Site Restoration. Moreover, due to the long distance, large pipe diameter sometimes with heavy thickness, complex terrain conditions, many workstations, great technical difficulty, climate influence, many running-through area , tight construction cycle, etc., the construction of whole project is difficult, with high requirements on construction technology, site management and pipeline welding quality.

The construction proposal is a key factor in the construction process. Only under the guidance of scientific and reasonable proposal, the pipeline construction process will be smoother. However, under some pipeline projects, they did not put enough energy into the design process of the construction proposal, which led to poor management and affected the subsequent construction.

Pipeline transmission is one of the main ways of oil and gas transportation and supply. The quality of pipeline welding directly affects the safe and stable running of the pipeline, and bad welding results may bring serious problems such as pipeline explosion and medium leakage, and bring great hidden dangers to the surrounding environment.

Furthermore, because of the large span of the project, long distance, complex terrain and difficult transportation, the transportation cost and time will be greatly consumed, which will adversely affect the cost and schedule of the whole project.

Based on the difficulties in pipeline construction and years of experience in pipeline welding, NAEC has planned a new movable station, which is suitable for on-site construction. The station is arranged near the project site, which greatly shortens the transportation time and cost, and basically has no requirements on the foundation. The new station integrates fitting up and welding processes, with a special base that can be customized a diameter range of 48 inches. The adopted automatic welding changes the predicament of low welding quality in the past, and is flexible and movable, which can be used according to the project schedule.
