In offshore prefabrication projects, there are complex and diverse workpieces that need to be prefabricated, such as jacket prefabrication, H-shaped steel prefabrication, pipe pile/pipe rack prefabrication and pipe prefabrication. For different workpiece prefabrication work, NAEC has different overall solutions.
Since 2006, NAEC has developed the equipment and technology for the fabrication of offshore pipe piles/pipe racks, believing that by moving most of the prefabrication work to the factory, using a logical prefabrication process and an efficient logistics system, production efficiency will be greatly improved, thus further improving the profitability of customers.
Offshore pipe pile/pipe frame workpiece is made from a piece of steel plate about 3 meters long rolled round. In the NAEC design, we propose a single 3M long tube group to butt the barrel up to 12 metres long. The 12m cylinder is further extended to the desired length. NAEC's equipment development design integrates advanced and efficient prefabrication technologies such as double wire welding and multi-wire welding to suit different welded joint needs. Such overall planning and design has been successfully implemented in CNPC's offshore manufacturing base.
NAEC's prefabrication solutions for offshore piles/pipe frames include sheet cutting, edge milling, shot blasting and painting, sheet winding, longitudinal and straight seam welding, pipe section alignment, pre-treatment, ring seam welding, barrel alignment and lengthening, and non-destructive testing solutions. NAEC's offshore pile/pipe rack solutions are capable of applying pipe diameters ranging from 500 to 5000mm.
